About Us

The Foresters takes its name from the woodland workers and gamekeepers who once roamed the surrounding forests. These local “foresters” would often stop by for a pint and a warm fire after a long day working the land.

While the pub has changed hands over the years, its spirit of hospitality, warmth, and rural charm has remained at its heart. Today, it is proudly owned and run by a local equestrian family, whose deep ties to the countryside and community bring a personal touch to everything we do.
The Foresters Arms has stood proudly in the village of Graffham for centuries, deeply rooted in the traditions of English country life. Originally established as a coaching inn and resting point for local tradesmen and travellers, the pub has long been a central part of the community—a place to gather, share stories, and enjoy good food and drink.

Many of the original features, including exposed beams, a roaring fireplace, and traditional pub furnishings, are lovingly preserved—offering a glimpse into its storied past while embracing the comforts of today.
As custodians of this historic building, we’re proud to honour its legacy while continuing to evolve. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, stepping into The Foresters Arms is like stepping into a timeless corner of English pub culture.
